All our preloved books are sold in our whatsapp groups only on a "voetstoots basis". We get in a very wide variety of genres, authors in both English and Afrikaans on consignment. How we work
- All orders are packed into boxes with your names on it until full or until you request your books in which case we will make up a package for you.
- The pay as you go option is the preferred option, but, we can reserve your books till month end - please arrange with us. Updated balances are sent after each order and the final account sent via a Yoco link at month-end or at your request in the middle of the month. If you would like to pay as you go, all you need to do is to request a payment link along with the amount you would like to pay. Payments will be credited to your tab till month end when we close off the accounts for the month and start a new month.
- Terms & Conditions to reserve books till month-end without payment: Orders not paid for by the 7th of the following month will be cancelled without notice and will be relisted for sale. Should you order from us again after not commiting to your previous month's order at month-end, you will be required to pay for you new orders within 24 hours if you would like us to reserve any books for you in the future.
- Pudo - Boxes are typically classed as medium-large and can hold up to 20kg of books - Quantity will vary between 25 - 50 books and will depend on the formats of books you choose. We will get in contact with a quotation when your box is full or you request that we send your books. Pudo parcels are generally sent on Thursdays outside of public holidays.
- Storage - We provide decent covered indoor storage which are protected by an alarm and do our best to ensure that no harm comes to your newly purchased preloved books. You do however understand that any books stored with us or sent by courier is done by your own risk. Books on our premises or in transit are not insured.
- Harrismith Collections & On-Site Payments -Thursdays outside of public holidays only from 11am - 5pm. Please phone when you are at the gate. The bell does not work. DO NOT HOOT OR WHATSAPP.
- Any other information you need in order to puchase books from us will be stated before each event in the relevant whatsapp group.
- Please do ask any questions you may have to any of our admins. We always happy to help as best we can.
We are based in Harrismith - But do send books nationwide via Pudo / The Courier Guy. Delivery is for the buyer's cost.
